Stretch Recovery Lounge, with four New Jersey locations in Ridgewood, Tenafly, Westfield and Montclair, is a first class Assisted Stretching and Athletic Recovery Facility. We cater our services to all ages and fitness levels. We are here to help people in their everyday life, as well as in athletics. Stretch Recovery Lounge was Founded in 2019 with the mission of helping people live their best life through assisted stretching. If you are dealing with stiffness, tightness, tension, mobility issues, back pain or mobility issues, Stretch Recovery Lounge is the place for you.

Jake’s primary focus at Stretch is running the business operations of the facility. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Moreover, Jake spent three years as a professional rugby with Rugby United New York of Major League Rugby. Today, he continues to play with his hometown club, Morris Rugby. Jake’s rugby career has included extended playing stints in England with Wimbledon RFC in 2018, Ireland with Trinity College RFC in 2016, and Australia with GPS RFC in 2013. He has also been a member of the Northeast Rugby Olympic Development Academy since its inception in 2013.
He graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Minors in Political Science and Environmental Studies. At Middlebury he played one year of football and four years of rugby, three of which he was the captain. He was an All-American during his senior year of collegiate rugby. Additionally, he was a USA Rugby All-American his senior year of high school, representing the Under-18 National 7s Rugby Team in 2012. Prior to working at Stretch, he spent several years working for the National Football League in a variety of business capacities.
When not at work he is typically spending time in the outdoors, enjoying board/ski sports and playing the ukulele.
Manager – Ridgewood
Herman is a Licensed Massage Therapist, who has a background in Athletic Training. He has been working in the assisted stretching industry for eight years. As the Valedictorian of his graduating Massage Therapy class at the Fortis Institute, his main focus has always been prevention of injuries and gearing up clients for their next workout or game. Herman was a high- level athlete in his own right, making it to the final three phases of Taekwondo Olympic Trials leading up to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Herman was the Captain of the New Jersey State Taekwondo team and has contributed as a member the USA National Team. Herman still competes in taekwondo today and also spends much of his free time coaching local taekwondo athletes.
Prior to working at Stretch Recovery Lounge, Herman worked at Wolkes Chiropractic and Rehabilitation as their soft tissue specialist. Prior to that, Herman worked as the Assistant Manager and Head Stretch Coach at Kika Stretch Studios for five years. Herman has experience working with athletes, the general public and even those with disabilities.
Herman is here to work with everyone to help them reach their goals!
Manager – Tenafly
Caroline has been working at Stretch since the company’s inception in 2019. She is a a Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Moreover, she is a Certified Yoga Teacher, who has taught at several different locations in New Jersey. One of her yoga endeavors has included being a volunteer instructor at Camp Jotoni for Adults and Children with Autism. Additionally, she graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She strives to create a safe, comfortable space for her clients to relax and recover, while also giving thorough, individualized stretch sessions to make them feel their best in their own bodies.
When she is not at Stretch or practicing yoga, she enjoys being outdoors, spending quality time with friends and family, and discovering new places and cultures.
Manager – Westfield
Marissa graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Prior to joining the Stretch team, she worked as a Physical Therapy Aid at Joint Health Physical Therapy in Rutherford, New Jersey. Prior to transferring to William Patterson, Marissa attended East Stroudsburg University, where she worked in the Athletic Training department, assisting the athletic trainers for the Women’s Field Hockey team. At East Stroudsburg, Marissa was also a member of the Cheerleading Team.
When she is not at Stretch, she enjoys shopping and going to the beach.
Brittany is a Stretch Coach who brings extensive knowledge of anatomy and a strong background in dance to Stretch. Prior to working at Stretch, she has acted as an activity facilitator for children with varying mental and physical disabilities to enhance neuromuscular strength function and socialization at William Paterson University. Moreover, she spent time working under Physical Therapists at Push To Walk, a facility dedicated to helping people with paralysis and other forms of spinal cord injuries.
Furthermore, she spent time working at St. Joseph’s Cardiac Rehab center, where she worked with registered nurses and exercise physiologists to create and carry out workout programs for patients who are recovery from a wide array of heart surgeries. Beyond that, she has experience in group fitness, as she instructed group workout classes a local YMCA.
Brittany graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. She is also currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at Rutgers University.
As an elite-level dancer, Brittany has spent 21 years competing in various forms of dance, including tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, liturgical and more.
Priscilla graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Prior to joining Stretch Recovery Lounge, she has worked on the athletic training staff of Ridgewood and Don Bosco High School. Moreover, she has experience working as a Physical Therapy Aid at Ferraro Spine and Rehabilitation and South Orange Rehabilitation and Wellness. She has also coached soccer professionally in the New York Red Bulls youth system. Prior to transferring to Montclair State, she played soccer at Bergen County Community College.
When she is not at Stretch, she enjoys training in Muay Thai and DJing.
Joey completed his Associates Degree in Exercise Science at Bergen County Community College and is in his final semester at William Patterson University, where he will earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science, with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Prior to joining Stretch Recovery Lounge, Joey worked as a Physical Therapy Aid at Ivy Rehab and as a Personal Trainer at Fitness Factory in New Providence.
When not at work, Joey likes to workout and spend time with his family.
Head of Protocol
KJ is a Nurse Practitioner and a Critical Care Nurse. She has worked in that capacity for nearly 40 years. She has experience working in high-pressured situations in the emergency room, while also providing sideline coverage for rugby matches. She is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, Child Passenger Safety Instructor, Certified First Aid Specialist for Rugby and Certified Immediate Care Practitioner for Rugby.
Through her many medical hats she has worn, active stretching, passive stretching, and range of motion has made a difference for her patients throughout her career.
Prior to working at Stretch Recovery Lounge, Matt worked as a Physical Therapy Aid at Professional Physical Therapy in Emerson, New Jersey. He is currently in his final year at Dominican College where he will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science.
At Dominican, he is a member of the Track and Field Team.
Brian graduated from William Patterson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science, with a focus in Exercise Physiology. He is also a Certified Stretch and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Prior to working at Stretch, Brian has worked as a Physical Therapy Aid at Madison Spine and Physical Therapy in New Milford. He also worked at Englewood Health as a Rehab Associate, working with patients that have neurological, oncological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, vestibular, and orthopedic conditions. Additionally, he has worked at Hackensack University Medical Center as an Exercise Physiologist Intern. He has also worked at Hackensack University Medical Center as a Personal Trainer.
In his free time, he enjoys training in Muay Thai.
Angie is enthusiastic about preserving the longevity of the human body via stretching and plans to utilize interest in kinesiology at Medical School in the near future. Currently, Angie is finishing up her last semester at Rutgers University, where she will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a pre-med concentration. Prior to joining the Stretch team, Angie power-lifted on the Rutgers Club Powerlifting Team.
When she is not at Stretch, Angie enjoys completing art projects and working out.
