Jake Feury, Founder
Jake’s primary focus at Stretch is running the business operations of the facility. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Moreover, Jake currently plays professional rugby and is in his third season with Rugby United New York of Major League Rugby, while also continuing to play with his hometown club, Morris Rugby. Jake’s rugby career has included extended playing stints in England with Wimbledon RFC in 2018, Ireland with Trinity College RFC in 2016, and Australia with GPS RFC in 2013. He has also been a member of the Northeast Rugby Olympic Development Academy since its inception in 2013. He graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Minors in Political Science and Environmental Studies. At Middlebury he played one year of football and four years of rugby, three of which he was the captain. Additionally, he was a USA Rugby All-American his senior year of high school, representing the Under-18 National 7s Rugby Team in 2012. Prior to working at Stretch, he spent several years working for the National Football League in a variety of business capacities. When not at work he is typically spending time in the outdoors, enjoying board/ski sports or playing the ukulele.
Herman Gross, Head Stretch Coach
Brittany Anderson, Stretch Coach
Brittany is a Stretch Coach who brings extensive knowledge of anatomy and a strong background in dance to Stretch. Prior to working at Stretch, she has acted as an activity facilitator for children with varying mental and physical disabilities to enhance neuromuscular strength function and socialization at William Paterson University. Moreover, she spent time working under Physical Therapists at Push To Walk, a facility dedicated to helping people with paralysis and other forms of spinal chord injuries. Furthermore, she spent time working at St. Joseph’s Cardiac Rehab center, where she worked with registered nurses and exercise physiologists to create and carry out workout programs for patients who are recovery from a wide array of heart surgeries. Beyond that, she has experience in group fitness, as she instructed group workout classes a local YMCA. Brittany graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. As an elite-level dancer, Brittany has spent 21 years competing in various forms of dance, including tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, liturgical and more.
Caroline Forder, Stretch Coach
Caroline is a Certified Yoga Teacher, teaching several classes each week throughout the greater Ridgewood area. One of her yoga endeavors includes being a volunteer instructor at Camp Jotoni for Adults and Children with Autism. Moreover, she graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She strives to create a safe, comfortable space for her clients to relax and recover i, while also giving thorough, individualized stretch sessions to make them feel their best in their own bodies. When she is not at Stretch or practicing yoga, she enjoys being outdoors, spending quality time with friends and family, and discovering new places and cultures.
KJ Feury, Head of Protocol
KJ is a Nurse Practitioner and a Critical Care Nurse. She has worked in that capacity for nearly 40 years. She has experience working in high-pressured situations in the emergency room, while also providing sideline coverage for rugby matches. She is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, Child Passenger Safety Instructor, Certified First Aid Specialist for Rugby and Certified Immediate Care Practitioner for Rugby. Through her many medical hats she has worn, active stretching, passive stretching, and range of motion has made a difference for her patients throughout her career.
